« Cette manière d’être Église a dérangé. Durant des années, on a voulu faire taire cette voix dissonante. Finalement, on va s’attaquer à la tête pensante principale et mon mari paiera de sa vie son engagement farouche pour l’Évangile en octobre 2003. Par la suite, j’ai dû quitter le pays pour ne pas risquer le même sort. Aujourd’hui, je peux dire : ‹ Si c’était à refaire, je referais. › Ici, je me suis engagée aux côtés d’Africains réfugiés et avec d’autres réfugiés aussi. »
“This way of practicing was disturbing. For years, they wanted to silence these dissonant voices. They ended up attacking the principal mastermind, and my husband paid the ultimate price for his staunch commitment to the Gospel in October 2003. I subsequently had to leave the country so as not to risk the same fate. Today, I can say that given another chance, I would do it all again. Here, I’m working with refugees from Africa and other places, too.”
