«Au Rwanda, je n’ai exercé que mon métier d’accoucheuse et c’était un ravissement total de pouvoir mettre au monde des bébés. Ici, je me suis lancée dans les soins à domicile. Et là ça a été aussi l’éclatement total, parce que soigner des gens chez eux c’est des rencontres humaines hors du commun. Je faisais des accompagnements de fin de vie. De les accompagner jusqu’à la fin, c’est des grands moments, c’est fait avec beaucoup de naturel.»
“In Rwanda, I worked as a midwife and it was a real joy being able to bring babies into the world. Here in Switzerland, I moved into home nursing. And this is also a job I really love because when you look after people in their homes, you get to experience some extraordinary human interactions. I was giving end-of-life care. Being with people until the end – those are moments that matter, and it’s done in a very natural, unforced way.”
